Akshay Kumar REVEALS Son Aarav Has No Interest In Being An Actor, Says ‘He Is Into Fashion’
Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna welcomed their first child, a son named Aarav, in 2002. Their family expanded with the birth of their daughter, Nitara, in 2012. Aarav recently celebrated his 21st birthday. On the inaugural episode of Shikhar Dhawan’s talk show, "Dhawan Karenge," which premiered on JioCinema, Akshay discussed Aarav's career aspirations and personal choices. Despite being the son of Bollywood stars, Aarav has chosen a path distinct from the film industry. Akshay shared that Aarav is more interested in pursuing a career in fashion rather than following in his parents' footsteps in cinema. Akshay emphasized that both he and Twinkle have always encouraged Aarav to follow his own interests. According to Akshay, Aarav once expressed his desire not to enter the film industry, to which Akshay responded supportively, affirming Aarav’s right to make his own decisions.

Akshay also highlighted the simplicity with which Aarav leads his life, despite their family’s fame and fortune. He proudly noted that Aarav handles all his household chores, including cooking and laundry, and has a minimalist approach to his wardrobe. Aarav prefers shopping at thrift stores rather than spending on high-end fashion, a choice that Akshay admires and respects. Further, Akshay spoke about Aarav’s decision to leave home at 15 to pursue his education abroad. Aarav is currently studying at a university in London. Akshay reflected on the difficulty of letting Aarav go at such a young age, but he respected Aarav’s determination and independence, as he himself had left home at 14.

 Aarav’s self-reliance and simplicity in lifestyle, despite his privileged upbringing, are aspects that Akshay and Twinkle take great pride in. They believe these values have shaped Aarav into a grounded and independent young man.
